Throughout this free webinar, participants will learn concepts, tools, and techniques related to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). They will leave with a toolkit of behavioral strategies that can be applied in both school and home settings. Agenda items will include:
- Define and discuss key behavioral terms including antecedent, consequence, and reinforcement.
- Identify functions of challenging behaviors (e.g., gaining attention, avoiding work) that help determine why children engage in different types of behavior.
- Learn about antecedent interventions and reinforcement-based interventions that help to reduce challenging behaviors.
- Discuss how to respond to challenging behaviors using de-escalation techniques.
- Time will be provided for Question & Answer.
