Intensive intervention with individualized instruction, in a supportive environment that fosters meaningful communication and primary school readiness.
Monarch Preschool is located in a spacious building in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
Monarch Preschool accepts children ages 3-6 (younger than 3 considered upon evaluation), with a suspected or confirmed diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Monarch's Preschool program, which combines concept-driven language instruction with visual supports, complements the treatment method (e.g., ABA, TEACCH, Floor Time, Pivotal Response Training, Early Start Denver Model) that's most appropriate for each child.
Each child receives one-on-one instruction and intensive therapeutic intervention from a team of specialists including special education teachers, teacher assistants, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, a music therapist, and an art teacher.
Classes are taught in a natural environment and address social and play skill development, language-based communication, executive functioning, pre-academic skills, activities of daily living, IEP goals and objectives, fine and gross motor and imitation skills, sensory intervention, and behavioral support. Student receive:
- Speech Therapy
- Occupational Therapy

Partnering with Families
Monarch Preschool families receive daily communication notes, attend bi-monthly staffings with their children's teachers and therapists, and may opt to receive quarterly home visits. In addition, they are invited to attend family networking and training sessions.
We offer two half-day options (morning or afternoon) and a full-day option, Monday through Friday, 11 months a year.
We are a provider for the Ohio Department of Education’s Autism Scholarship Program.
